Exactly same thing happened to me, that is why I searched this number and found this site. He is so dodgey that I have goosebumps. I must say, I am sure that this is a scam, because the style was the same and also sounded the same person (had Indian accent). When I told him that I think he is a scammer, he hang up !!!! If he is not, he could have defended himself and corrected me !!! Spelled out clearly a SCAMMER !!! please be careful everyone.

I received a call to my mobile number from 04 928 0258, the guys sounded a bit dodgey said he was calling from 2degrees, so I called back on my landline, after a few tries I got through, he said he could not hear me and put me on hold, he then came back and asked if I could hear him, when I said yes, he put the phone down. Could be legit, but something did not sound right. He had an indian accent, who knows !! could potentially have been from outside NZ.
